Thompson took over distribution of the Canadian Brass catalog to music stores throughout Canada. Although the Canadian Brass publications were still controlled by the group, Gordon V. Cable introduced Chuck to John Bird, who at the time, was president of Gordon V. Shortly after their first recording was out in stores, Canadian Brass's Chuck Daellenbach reached out to his friend, composer Howard Cable, who mentored Chuck on music publishing.Ĭhuck realized that it would be wise to register their brass quintet arrangements since they were now being heard by the world.
